Flash Fiction
Off Center in the Attic
Over the Top Stories

Flash fiction and short stories are presented in my latest eBook, Off Center in the Attic.

Writing prompts and descriptive writing suggested many of these over-the-top stories. Character traits feature greatly in shorter stories.

Humor and nonsense, flights of fantasy into other realms, fright, disgust and disappointment, silliness and wonderment, and the sadness of reality and heartache. It’s all here and more in stories that may leave you a little Off Center in the Attic, conjured through a mind that may be a little Off Center in the Attic.

This is a complete list of the 30 stories included, along with the Loglines that describe their plots:

Flash fiction and short stories are not as easily written as many may think, but they are fun. And when the meaning of those few words hit you, it can leave you awe-struck.

The author must still include all of the plot elements that are found in longer stories or novels but must present these elements in short, succinct fashion.

Writing Prompts, or Creative Writing Prompts are a good place to start looking for story ideas. An entire book need not be written from a prompt. In many of my stories, especially the flash fiction pieces, the prompt needed to be described with some acute action and that was all.

In other stories, in addition to the above points, you’ll find brief descriptive writing of the action and character traits round out the composition.
