Promote Yourself!

Book promotion is 90% of getting your book published and sold.

Writing the book represents only 10% of the work.

Book signing engagements and author publicity are usually left to the author.

Here in the Media Room is where you will find information about each of my books, plus my upcoming novels and nonfiction.

Photos will appear, taken at my book signings and other events – providing I find someone to take photos, which is not always the case.

As well, announcements of my book signings and where I’ll be appearing will be listed.

You’ll find the back cover synopsis of each book and other information to whet your interest.

Just about anything pertaining to book and author publicity will be presented in the Media Room as part of my specific author publicity.

Use these pages and information as tips to manage your own book promotion and author publicity.

In time, articles to help you schedule your own signings and author events will appear here in the Media Room.

A Tip: I prefer not to be behind a podium and will not use one again. I like to get right up next to the crowd, pass out flyers and things, and generally interact with the crowd. It helps the audience feel a part of it all.

If I am reading a passage from one of my books, then I might sit, but very close to the group.

_______About my published books, upcoming books and other media….

River Bones, a thriller, has win a significant award. The story takes place in my childhood hometown area of the Sacramento River Delta in California. Follow the leads to all the River Bones pages and read the exciting news about the competition and reviews.

My second novel, The Ka, is a paranormal Egyptian fantasy that takes place in Egypt, mostly at a dig site in Valley of the Queens. More Photos.

Down to the Needle, will be my next thriller to be released. It was actually written before River Bones.

I've already started an untitled novel which will be a sequel to River Bones. That story will take place mostly in Hawaii. The main character and a couple of others will people that twisted plot.

Then, too, the nonfiction book about my singer/musician mother’s audacious humor, advice, and idioms is nearly completed.

Looking farther ahead…

Several e-books are in the works for completely different subjects, though one will be related to information accumulated off this site as well as much information that may never get posted. The e-books will have their own section on this site as well.

And finally…

If anyone has any idea how to add several more hours to my days so I can complete more writing in a timely manner, please let me know.

Book promotion and author publicity take most of my time right now. I barely have time to schedule additional book signings, but will, soon as River Bones is released.

My book signing schedules will appear on the book page for the novel to which the event relates.
